Dear valued Clients and Associates,

This bulletin serves as the official notice that Antex Electronics Corp. is announcing the manufacture discontinuance of the LX-44, LX-24m, BX-12, SC-22 and StudioCard SC2000 soundcard products, and associated hardware and software driver components.

Periodically, it becomes necessary to end the production and distribution of certain products.  The decision to discontinue a product is based on a number of factors, including the availability and related costs of certain manufacturing components needed to continue manufacturing, progressive changes in customer demand, and compelling strategic reasons to migrate development resources towards alternate products and markets.

Due to the significant number of these products sold over the past few years, and the orders we continue to receive, we understand that a certain level of demand exists for these soundcards in the various markets served.  This manufacture discontinuance notice serves as formal communication to customers that a final order grace period, or End of Life offer, will be extended until April 30, 2005.  On that date, all pending orders will be collected and a final build of the respective cards ordered will be made.  All orders shall be filled in as timely manner as possible taking into account parts procurement, assembly, testing, and shipping requirements.

Prior to April 30, only current available stock will be available to fulfill pending orders.  As this stock is limited, back orders are expected.  It is strongly recommended that customers consider all future and transitional application requirements for their respective Antex soundcard product when determining their final purchase order commitment.

The manufacture discontinuance of these hardware products should not be interpreted as the discontinuance of any existing Antex product warranty or other related written agreement for support.  The standard Antex 1-year repair/replace warranty (attached) against defects in materials or workmanship will remain in effect for all new product sold.  Non-warranty repairs will be affected at customer cost per the standard Antex warranty agreement.  The forecasted End of Life Date is January 31, 2008.  After that date, no further support will be provided for these soundcard products.

Beginning April 30, 2005, non-warranty customer assistance via Antex Technical Support phone and email will be available at an hourly rate.  All requests for technical phone assistance must first be made via email to ssupport@antex.com.  The email request should include a brief synopsis of the support issue, the Antex product involved, contact information (direct phone/email) for response, and credit card information so that billable hour(s) may be charged.  All phone support will be subject to a charge of $50.00 per hour or any part of an hour.  Any issues that can be dealt with solely via email will be handled accordingly at no charge.  Email requests at ssupport@antex.com will be checked periodically throughout the day, M-F 7am-4:30pm PST; a response will be made within one (1) business day.  Emergency support requests are available by calling Antex Technical support’s hotline at 310-532-3093 x33.  All callers will be requested to leave a message including information regarding the support issue, product involved, contact information, and credit card billing information.  Messages will be checked regularly throughout the day and responded to the same day, and usually within 3 hours from the time the message was created.   There is no technical support available weeknights after 5pm PST or on weekends.

Should you have any questions, please contact your Antex sales representative, or call 1.800.532.3092 or email asales@antex.com to obtain a sales contact if you do not presently have one.  Thank you for your valued patronage and support of Antex Electronics Corp’s soundcard products over these many years.

Sincerely,
