Go to
Device Manager and look under Sound, video and game controllers and remove
the first option you see that refers to Antex and WDM Drivers.
Close
the Device Manager Window and then right mouse hand click on My Computer
and then select Explorer. Drop down your c:\ drive and then right mouse
hand click on WINNT for Win2000 or WINDOWS for WinXP and select Search.
For
the first search enter ae*.* and delete these 2 files ae_PPC.dll and
ae_PCI.sys.
For
the second search type oem*.inf and then sort by Size. Look for a file
with the size of 40K and then open it to assure you that this is an Antex
file and then you need to delete this file. Go to step #6.
If for any reason you do not see this file or any .inf files, this means
your system is hiding them from you and you need to follow these next
steps. If you do see them, just skip to #5. For WinXP, you will have to do
this search under c:\windows\inf.
On the
top of this window click on Tools and then Folder Options. Look for a Tab
named View and then select it. Now look for an option named Show hidden
files and folders and select it. Click on OK and then run the search one
more time and now you will see these files.
You
may now shut down your PC and remove your Antex Audio Adapter or restart
to install any driver you wish to use on your Antex Digital Adapter.
