Antex Legacy Audio Driver Installation for Win XP
Note: Before
you start any installation, make sure you have your PC off and then install and
secure your Antex Audio Card into the PC.
All Antex PCI Cards
- As
soon as you log into Windows, you will see a PnP Found New Hardware notice
pop up at the lower right hand corner.

- Shortly
followed by this message. Select the first option on the top and then
click on Next>.

- You
will briefly see this window.

- Make
sure the bottom box has been checked and then click on Finish.

- You
might see this message below on your Task Bar, just click on the X and it
will go away.

- Shortly
followed by this screen. Make sure you select No, I prefer not to participate and then click Next and then
Finish or just click on Cancel
and then Finish.

- After
you have done the steps shown above, you should be back on your desktop
with nothing open. You are now ready to begin the Antex Audio Driver
installation process.
- Open
the folder which contain these drivers (There should be 13 files ONLY!). Double click the “setup.exe” icon to start the
driver installation and follow the setup process.When
you get to the “Antex Audio Driver
Setup” window as shown below, please select the proper audio card
model you have installed in your system and un-check the “SRP” box and check the “Disable
Sync Start”.
Click “OK”.

- Shortly
followed by this screen, click “YES”
and you have successfully installed the Antex Audio Drivers for Windows
XP.

- Shortly
followed by this screen, click “OK”.

- If you
see this window below just click on Restart Now and follow
step 11 below.

- After
your system has restarted you should not see any Found New Hardware Wizard
or System Errors. Open Control Panel / System / Hardware Tab / Device
Manager / Sound, video and game controllers / Legacy Audio Drivers /
Properties Tab / Audio Devices / Audio for Antex Digital Audio Driver /
Settings and just click on OK and say yes to the Warning. You should see
the Antex Audio Driver Setup window go away and now just start clicking on
OK to all windows to close them.
All Antex ISA Cards
- You are
now ready to begin the Antex Audio Driver installation process. Open the
folder, which contain the Antex Legacy Audio Drivers and just double click
on the “setup.exe” icon to
start the driver installation.
- Follow
the setup process and when you get to the “Antex Audio Driver Setup” window as shown below, please
select the proper audio card model and resources for the card installed in
your system and un-check the “SRP”
box and make sure the “Disable Sync Start” is checked. Now just
click “OK”.

- Shortly
followed by this screen, click “YES”.

- Shortly
followed by this screen, click “OK”.

- If there are no available I/O Ports or Interrupts available, you will see
an error similar to this one below. If so, you will have to research to
see which I/O Ports or Interrupts are available. You may need to go into
your BIOS to change your IRQ settings from PCI/LegacyISA
to ISA so the system will not use this IRQ for any other PnP hardware.

- If you
see this window below just click on Restart Now.

- After
your system has restarted open Control Panel / System / Hardware Tab /
Device Manager / Sound, video and game controllers / Legacy Audio Drivers
/ Properties Tab / Audio Devices / Audio for Antex Digital Audio Driver /
Settings, this will take you to the “Antex
Audio Driver Setup” window, just click on OK and select YES to the
Warning. You should see the Antex Audio “Antex Audio Driver Setup” window go away and now just start
clicking on OK to all windows to close them.
- You
can now go into your Control Panel and then Sound and Audio or Sounds and
Multimedia and then click on the Audio Tab and drop down the Playback or
Recording window to see all your Antex Virtual Devices that may be
available.
- You
have successfully installed and configured your Antex Audio Adapter.
