How to Enhance Performance in Windows XP

NOTE: This adjustment is to improve the way your Applications and Hardware perform in Windows XP. It should only be adjusted if you have performance issues in Windows XP when you did NOT have these issues in earlier versions on Microsoft Windows. This adjustment will change the way your system looks, but will enhance the way it performs.

 

  1. Right mouse hand click on My Computer and then select Properties.

  2. Once the window opens, select the Advanced.

                                     

  1. In the Advanced Tab, select the Settings button.
      

     
  2. Once the Settings button has been selected, you will then see this window.
    In this window you can select the “Adjust for best performance” if you do not
    care about how your system looks, but want to improve the way the system operates.
