Overview
The 20-bit Antex Model BX-12 is the most advanced and feature-laden
product manufactured by Antex. Designed to meet the demand
for more powerful and flexible digital broadcast systems,
Antex engineers have incorporated the equivalent of four boards
on a single soundcard. The Model BX-12 features 10 balanced
analog outputs and two balanced analog inputs that are controlled
via Antex's on-board digital mixer application. With separate
record and playback subsystems, each with its own dedicated
sample clock, the Broadcaster provides simultaneous recording
and playback functions. This makes possible the production
of spots, phone calls and program feed recording and editing
while playing back a stereo program on-air - all with a single
card on a single PC.
The Broadcaster's high level of integration and features
give OEMs and developers the ability to simplify integration,
increase application functionality and lower the cost of digital
broadcast systems. The card currently supports MPEG and 16-bit
ADPCM compression. 20-bit converters and Antex's multi-layer
board design to prevent electronic interference within the
PC provide CD-quality digital audio for the highest quality
digital broadcast applications.

Software Development Tools
The Antex Broadcaster driver software allows an application
program to provide direct to disc recording and playback of
digital audio using the Broadcaster under Microsoft Windows
95/98/NT/2000 and XP. In Windows the Broadcaster is supported
by the multimedia extensions allowing it to be used with any
Windows Multimedia applications.
