ANTEX ELECTRONICS ANNOUNCES FIRST

TRIPLE PLAY CONTROL MACRO FROM AMX

Antex Joins Leading Control Company’s InconcertÔ Program

For Continued Support and Training

Las Vegas (January 8, 2003) – Antex Electronics, maker of the SRX-3 Triple Play, the world’s first satellite radio receiver designed specifically for multi-zone audio systems, announced that AMX Corporation (Nasdaq: AMXC), a leading developer of control systems that integrate and automate electronic devices, has developed the first macro to help installers easily integrate the Triple Play into any distributed audio system using AMX control technology.  AMX becomes the first control system company to develop macros for Triple Play, and will provide Antex with continued support through its participation in AMX’s Inconcert partner program.

“Our partnership with AMX is an exciting step, as it will speed up acceptance for Triple Play among installers,” said John Hay, Antex’s director of business development. “And while AMX is the first company to have developed a macro for Triple Play, we anticipate announcing more developments in the very near future

“It’s important for AMX to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to providing our dealers with macros for seamlessly integrating new equipment.” said Michael Peveler, director of AMX’s Inconcert program.  “Antex’s Triple Play is unique, and one we feel has tremendous upside. Moving quickly to provide these macros gives our dealers a competitive edge.”

As part of Antex’s ongoing Platinum level partnership in the Inconcert program, AMX will make the software module available via download from the AMX website, with Antex providing a link from its website to AMX’s.  AMX will also provide a link on its website to Antex’s website for additional product information.  Other benefits of AMX’s Inconcert Program includes training for Antex on AMX systems that include basics in control and protocol developments, as well as control system module programming.
