Antex Digital Media

Gardena, California. (October 26, 2001)– Antex Electronics, a leading manufacturer of professional DSP based sound cards, satellite receivers, and network/internet appliances, today announced its best-selling sound card, the SC-22, is being used by Clear Channel Interactive (CCI) to digitize radio programming for rebroadcast over the Web. Over 280 SC-22s are in use in the top 50 radio markets across the U.S. and are an integral component of CCI’s next generation rebroadcast system delivering broadcast quality audio to Websites worldwide.

The SC-22 gained popularity with the rise of the major streaming companies such as Akamai, Yahoo and Activate.net who use the SC-22 for audio encoding. CCI's integration of the SC-22 to their encoders once again confirms the SC-22’s role in mission critical commercial applications.

“Clear Channel Interactive's mission is to provide a spectacular platform to empower our customers to connect and interact with their favorite artists, music, live entertainment, personalities and each other anytime, anywhere,” says Kevin Mayer, Clear Channel Interactive CEO. “The SC-22’s sound quality – specifically the quality of its 20-bit analog to digital converters – gives our Web rebroadcasts better than first generation quality.”

“CCI’s Website network attracts over 4.6 million unique visitors each month,” adds David Foley, Antex Electronics President. “We are very pleased CCI selected our professional sound card for encoding audio – this is certainly the most robust application for the SC-22 to date!”
