ANTEX ELECTRONICS ANNOUNCES STUDIO-QUALITY DIGITAL AUDIO
CARD FOR COMPLETE VIDEO SYNCHRONIZATION
20-Bit Solution Offers Feature-Rich Post Production Capabilities
Gardena, California. (January 27, 1999) -- Antex Electronics,
a leading manufacturer of high-end digital audio sound cards
for studio-quality PC-based recording and playback, today
announced the StudioCard SC-22, a 20-bit, half-sized PCI compatible
digital audio sound card specifically designed for video editing
professionals in the pro audio, video and broadcast markets.
Engineered for non-linear video editing applications, the
SC-22 is a complete audio-for-video hardware solution that
caters to the demanding production environments of audio and
video professionals using high-end computer systems.
The card's flexibility differentiates it significantly from
similar products, as the SC-22 is the only professional-quality
audio card that includes Windows NT software drivers for both
the Intel and Alpha platforms.
"The StudioCard SC-22 is really the culmination of long-term
feedback Antex has received from the post-production community,"
said Jim Antrim, president of Antex. "Audio and video
professionals, particularly those working in non-linear video
editing under NT, have long sought a simple, low cost yet
powerful audio solution that can easily be integrated into
their existing systems. With the SC-22, their wait is over."
A key feature of the SC-22 is its absolute audio/video lip
synch, which provides automatic audio-to-video synchronization.
With this flexibility, the SC-22 can lock with virtually any
video capture card.
The SC-22 is loaded with many mission-critical features important
to non-linear video editing professionals. These include:
- Hardware locking to master video clocks (54 MHz, 27 MHz
or 13.5 MHz)
- PCI Bus card - 32-bit data path
- Two-channel digital audio on a single card (2 in and
2 out)
- Supports four stereo tracks to/from hard disk
- Professional balanced I/O, TRS connectors
- Dynamic range of 96dB (typical); 92 dB (minimum)
- Multiple StudioCards can be locked with sample accuracy
Compatibility
Another major advantage the SC-22 offers is its broad compatibility
with the industry's leading professional editing, special
effects and multimedia software and hardware - including Saw
Plus, Cakewalk, Softimage, IQS and SEK'd.
Pricing, Availability & Warranty
The SC-22 carries an MSRP of $595.00. It is currently shipping
direct to OEM customers and through Antex's international

complete software drivers for Windows 98/NT. A fully documented,
