NEW DIGITAL AUDIO ADAPTER BREAKOUT BOX EASES PC CABLE CLUTTER
WHILE INCREASING ROUTING FLEXIBILITY IN DIGITAL PRODUCTION
ENVIRONMENTS
New Antex Breakout Box for StudioCard™ AV Pro debuts
at NAMM
Gardena, California. (January, 1998) – Antex Electronics
today introduced the StudioCard AV Pro Breakout Box at the
North American Music Merchandiser’s (NAMM) Convention
at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Perfect for digital
production facilities or desktop project studios, the Antex
breakout box significantly eases the cable clutter around
your PC while increasing the patching and routing flexibility
of your StudioCard AV Pro. It contains all the connectors
to access analog and digital I/O, sync and clock feeds.
The black anodized aluminum 2U rackmount unit provides pro-quality
XLR and TRS balanced connectors plus software selectable digital
I/O via both S/PDIF on RCA and AES/EBU on XLR. The StudioCard
AV Pro Breakout Box and all other Antex digital audio products
are designed and manufactured under ISO-9001 certification
standards.
Leslie Wagner, Antex’ director of marketing, says the
box is both a convenience and a professional necessity. “With
more dedicated channels of audio being accessed, and more
connectors required for clock and timecode inputs and outputs,
the StudioCard™ AV Pro breakout box goes a long way
to reducing the ‘spaghetti’ that gets underfoot
in a computer/audio production setting. The breakout box also
allows more flexibility in positioning the production PC in
the recording environment,” Wagner said.
The new breakout box is listed at $199.00 (MSRP) and is available
now for shipment. Interested users can contact Antex for direct
sales at 1-800-532-3092.
