SEA RAY
ENTERS YEAR 3 FOR INCLUSION OF ANTEX SRX-3
SIRIUS® SATELLITE RADIO RECEIVER ON FLAGSHIP YACHTS
Multi-zone
capability and ease of installation deemed ideal
for industry-leading pleasure boat manufacturer
The Antex SRX-3 TriplePlay is the world’s
first high-fidelity, 3-zone satellite radio receiver using the revolutionary
SIRIUS Satellite Radio technology. Designed specifically to address the
requirements of custom installers and high-end audio or home theater
enthusiasts, the SRX-3 TriplePlay makes the ideal
choice for inclusion into a multiroom, multizone audio distribution system. Featuring an intuitive
interface for ease of operation, the Antex SRX-3 TriplePlay
installs effortlessly and is built to last.
For Sea
Ray’s 60
DA yachts, the Antex SRX-3 TriplePlay provides the
ability to have three completely independent channels of SIRIUS Satellite Radio
in the yacht’s Sunroom, Main Salon, and the Master Stateroom—thus providing a
level of sonic opulence more commonly reserved for the finest residential homes
or country clubs. With a rich feature set that both installers and end users
appreciate, The SRX-3 clearly impressed Sea Ray’s engineering staff.
George J. Moore,
Sea Ray’s Advanced Engineering Technical Specialist in the company’s Product
Development and Engineering group, commented on the company’s use of the Antex
SRX-3 TriplePlay. “We (Sea Ray Sykes Creek
Engineering) were looking for 120 VAC SIRIUS receivers for the new (at that
time) 2006 Sundancer models, as there wasn’t a 12 VDC
stereo on this yacht to function as the SIRIUS Satellite controller. After
looking at the available 120 VAC SIRIUS receiver options, the Antex TriplePlay was clearly the best choice for our particular
application. The TriplePlay saves us space and
simplifies the installation and control of the entertainment components. As it
requires only a single antenna, this also saves space and installation time.”
Tim Van Grove,
Antex Electronics’ Director of Sales, is equally enthusiastic about Sea Ray’s
selection of the SRX-3 TriplePlay. “Being an avid
boater myself, I found this unique implementation of our satellite radios
especially intriguing,” said Van Grove. “This is pure audio decadence inside a
very luxurious yacht—something every owner of this class of vessel will most
surely appreciate!”
