“Antex’s background in commercial and consumer satellite radio gives us an understanding of the vastly different demands businesses have compared to consumers,” said Antex president, Dave Foley. “The XM-100 is the first XM-based product on the market to meet the unique demands of the commercial business user.”
The XM-100 delivers the control and security features that businesses demand by offering a host of unique features. Automatic preset channel switching allows the programming of up to 100 channel changes each day, allowing business managers to preset changes in channel selection and volume level at specified times or intervals. User programmable “channel blocking” allows the subscriber to remove channels that cannot be accessed by employees, and front panel lockout further secures the unit from tampering. The XM-100 also features a backlit 2 line x 12 character LCD display that displays song, title and artist. Both stereo and mono outputs are supported, and LED indicators specify the channel and program category. The LCD also provides installers a custom professional menu for antenna setup and troubleshooting, something not available in consumer receivers. There is an infrared remote control input, and an auxiliary RS-232 data port that offers computer remote control and setup of preferences and channel customization.
“Commercial markets have unique music and
entertainment needs that require exceptional products and programming,” said
Dan Murphy, Senior Vice President of Product Marketing and Distribution. “Antex’s model XM-100 breaks new ground in
bringing XM Satellite Radio’s exceptional programming to the business community
with a secure, feature-rich, commercial-grade product.” At 9.7” x 2.2” x 6.2”, the XM-100 can fit just about
anywhere and also has an available rack mounting fixture. Like Antex’s previous
satellite radio receivers, the XM-100 represents the
highest quality audio circuitry with 24 bit D/A converters and XM’s proprietary
AACPlus compression. The receiver is available for immediate delivery.
Installation and XM Satellite Radio
subscription are extra.
